Das Scheit delivers an accessible style of industrial tainted metal on 'Superbitch' that draws influences from everything from Nine Inch Nails to Gothenburg style chord voicings. The group plays with a cold emotion on each of the twelve tracks on 'Superbitch', their overall sound maintaining a distant, mechanical feel, which is emphasized by the group's use of programmed MIDI effects. 'Splinters' succeeds in expressing a bleak atmosphere as the whispered vocals of Clint, the band's singer slither through the speakers like a serpent. Tracks such as the driving 'About U' and the darkly demented 'Shoot Song' are accented by mid tempoed metal riffing, with the later coming across very much like a Marilyn Manson track. Das Scheit certainly are not the most original sounding act in the world, however, they do know how to deliver ear catching heavy metal anthems with a wicked modern bent. 'Coming Up Roses' is a good example of the groups affinity for style blending. This track ends up as a fusion between Dark Tranquillity and HIM, maintaining the powerful driving Gothenburg sound while retaining a pop sensibility. If you're into the electronic side of metal, there's a lot to like about 'Superbitch', as Das Scheit prove that they can put forth a good album of catchy, entertaining music that walks a darkened path that other bands fear to tread.
