This Weeks Photo Caption Contest

This weeks photo caption contest is a photo of Rage Against the Machine. In the 1980's, Tipper Gore formed the PMRC (Parents Music Resource Center) with a bunch of other senator wives with nothing better to do than involve themselves in other peoples lives. They called several musicians to testify before congress on the lyrics of their songs.
At the 1993 Lollapalooza stop in Philadelphia, PA, RATM put duct tape over their mouths, and the letters, "P" "M" "R" "C" written on the four band members chests. Tom said, "It was to show that if the fans didn't take matters into their own hands, they wouldn't be able to see bands like us." It wasn't meant to be a "feel good" protest. It was to wake people up to a reality haunting the artistic community. The band stood on stage completely naked for a total of 14 minutes, with the bass and guitar feedback buzzing. The band didn't play a single song.
